We are a chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild in Maine
Our inaugural meeting took place in the summer of 1978.
We have met continuously since then to learn, share our work, provide comfort quilts to our community and beyond, and enjoy each other's company. We always welcome new members! Traditional, modern, and novice to experienced describe us! After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic, we are happy to announce that our chapter has resumed meeting! Please see information below and the "2022-2023 Schedule" page under MENU for further details. |

Our meetings begin with a social hour and refreshments. During the course of a meeting, chapter business is addressed, and a generous amount of time is available to work on projects by hand or machine. Regular features of meetings include Show n' Tell of our quilted projects and a "Priceless Yard Sale" table of members' donated items. MEMBERSHIP Annual dues are $30, which includes membership in our parent organization - The Pine Tree Quilters Guild. WHAT do our activities include?
We have enjoyed challenge projects, round robins, member demonstrations/workshops, and professional instruction.
Each month a member's quilt is displayed at the Ellsworth Public Library to help foster interest in quiltmaking. Our chapter's quilt shows have featured traditional and modern quilts to showcase the breadth of quiltmaking today. |
We have donated quilts as fundraisers within our local community, including the Emmaus Shelter and the Ellsworth Public Library.
We have made Quilts of Valor intended to honor and comfort service members touched by war. Our community outreach has included quilts for infants, displaced youth and mothers with young children, group home residents, senior citizens, and patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Placemats for Meals on Wheels recipients and pillowcases for children/young adults have also been stitched. |
